Katherine is a Director of Allens Real Estate. In 1994 Katherine and her husband Harry (Director/ Licensed Estate Agent) moved into business ownership and purchased the company. Katherine made an extraordinary career change from a VCE Secondary teacher and into the world of Property Management in Real Estate.
Katherine is adamant that the key to sustaining sound business relationships is to listen to your client and to remain approachable.
Katherine spends her time liaising with both investors and tenants ensuring that the business is functioning as a well-oiled machine, encompass systems which allow the company to work effectively, and provides efficient outcomes for all of the clients who walk through the door at Allens.
Katherine is a firm believer in education and professional development for all her staff. Education is the key to success. Professional Development and in-services on a regular basis for all staff ensures that her Property Management team is always highly skilled in sound conflict resolution, highly developed in problem-solving and maintain a sound knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act, ensuring that all clients are serviced to the optimum.
In her personal life, Katherine enjoys spending time at home with her family, cooking, gardening and walking. She also enjoys indulging in her passion for overseas travel.
Quality family time with her husband Harry and two sons Elliot and Giorgio is high on her list of priorities. "Living and working locally in Blackburn is a great blend and I feel thankful and blessed to enjoy a balanced lifestyle of business and personal life."

Jane started working in 1970 and briefly worked in the Insurance and Accounting Industries before moving into Real Estate in 1971. She first joined Allens Real Estate in 1978 and was employed as the Residential Property Manager and Bookkeeper. After 6 years she left to embark on a long overseas holiday.
She returned to work with this company in 1987 where she has since been as the Administration Manager supporting both Sales and Rental Departments completing all general administration duties.
Jane is the holder of an Estate Agent’s Licence and is the Officer in Effective Control at our Blackburn Office. She also has training qualifications in the areas of computer systems, software packages, accounting and banking. Jane enjoys traveling overseas, walking and her involvement as a member of the Crossway Baptist Church.
Her knowledge of the Real Estate Industry over many years has enhanced her ability to carry out her duties with confidence and has been most beneficial in her liaison with the clients of this company. Real Estate has been a big part of Jane's life and she continues to enjoy working in the industry.

Maria commenced working at Allens in 1998 in reception and over the years has been promoted through the Rental Department from Assistant Portfolio Manager to her current role as Rental Department Manager.
Her diligent approach to all aspects of property management ensures that all of our clients receive an optimum level of service. Her excellent knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act ensures that she is a sounding board for all members of our team. Maria is well respected among landlords and tenants alike.

Jeanne first began her career in real estate working as a receptionist at our Blackburn office learning all facets of the real estate industry. After twelve months in this position, she followed her keen passion to get into property management and took on the role of Assistant Property Manager. This involved looking after general maintenance, attending rental inspections and conducting open for inspections.
Jeanne has recently been promoted to Portfolio manager and could not be better prepared for the challenges of managing Allens’ ever expanding rental portfolio. She now oversees a large portfolio of properties and is committed to providing both landlords and tenants with customer service of the highest standard.
With her hardworking manner and a focus on teamwork, Jeanne perfectly complements our thriving property management team.

Kat joined the Property Management Department having been promoted from her previous role in reception, having viewed both areas of real estate prior to commencing her role as a portfolio manager.
Her attention to detail, along with her ability to work well under pressure make her perfectly equipped to competently handle the busy world of property management. Kat is committed to providing the highest quality assistance with both tenants and landlords alike.

Macy’s enthusiasm and passion for property management shines through in her work. Speaking Cantonese and Mandarin, her goal is to provide excellent customer service and build relationships based on mutual trust and respect with clients. Her dream of owning and managing properties has always encouraged her to put herself in the shoes of the landlord so as to be sensitive to their needs. This enables her to provide first class service and achieve 100% customer satisfaction.

Effie has been working in the real estate industry since 1998. She first joined Allens as our weekend receptionist. After a break in between, she returned to Allens a little over a year ago. Effie is very skilled in office administration and has a strong attention to detail. She is involved with all the clerical operations of our agency and provides good backup support for our Rental and Sales Department. Effie enjoys the flexibility of part-time work and balancing a busy family life.
